What to expect
Sexual desire and arousal within 30–60 min. Duration 6–24 hours. Nausea and flushing common, less if dosed in the evening. Use caution if combining with PDE5 inhibitors (sildenafil, tadalafil); additive transient BP and HR effects; not an FDA-labeled contraindication.
Men & women
Men: Began as a men’s erectile-dysfunction drug (acts in the brain, adds to sildenafil).
Women: FDA-approved (Vyleesi) for premenopausal women with low sexual desire (HSDD). Nausea common.
